7PM- 7th Annual NJAA PAC Reception (West Orange): Majority Leader Cryan will attend the NJ Apartment Association’s annual reception focusing on current Trenton issues. The event will be moderated by Michael Aron of NJN and is formatted as an informal meet and greet followed by Q&A from the audience.

10AM- Assembly Telecommunications and Utilities Committee (Trenton): As a committee member, Assemblywoman Quijano will take testimony from invited guests on Telecommunications and Utilities practices.

7PM- Book Signing Event with Senator Lesniak (Asbury Park): Senator Lesniak, along with Senator Weinberg will be hosting a book signing event at the Brickwall Tavern in Asbury Park. This event is a celebration of the works complied by Senators Raymond Lesniak and Loretta Weinberg entitled, "What's Love Got To Do With It? The Case for Same Sex Marriage".

9AM- 2010 Union County Teen Arts Touring Exhibit (Union): The 20th Legislative District Office of Senator Lesniak, Assemblyman Cryan and Assemblywoman Quijano will be hosting the 2010 Union County Teen Arts Touring Exhibit for 6 weeks starting on October 1, 2010. There will be approximately 60 pieces of artwork displayed throughout the office.
10AM- Life Science Task Force Meeting (New Brunswick): Assemblywoman Annette Quijano will participate in the Life Science Task Force Meeting, where the focus of the hearing will be Higher Education. Following the hearing will be a tour and discussion with invited panelists.

7PM- September 11th Candlelight Ceremony (Union): Senator Lesniak, Assemblyman Cryan and Assemblywoman Quijano will attend the September 11th Candlelight Ceremony to honor those that lost their lives in the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

8:45AM- September 11th Ceremony (Elizabeth): Assemblywoman Annette Quijano will join Mayor Chris Bollwage and members of the community in a remembrance ceremony for all the victims, including six Elizabeth residents who perished on that fateful day. The event will be held at the Elizabeth September 11th Memorial located at the Midtown Pedestrian Plaza.
11AM- September 11th Memorial Service (Kenilworth): Assemblywoman Annette Quijano will join the Kenilworth Police Department in a tribute to honor Kenilworth residents Sgt. Robert Kaulfers of the Port Authority and John J. Tobin along with all victims of the tragic event.
3PM- Mayor Bollwage’s Block Party (Elizabeth): Senator Raymond Lesniak & Assemblywoman Annette Quijano will participate in Mayor Chris Bollwage’s Block party on Coolidge Avenue in Elizabeth.
7:30PM- Sashing Ceremony for Pulaski Day Parade (Linden): Senator Raymond Lesniak and Assemblywoman Annette Quijano will participate in the Sashing Ceremony for the Pulaski Day Parade, where they will present resolutions to this year’s honorees, the Honorable Christine Bodek and Monica Swietlik.

They will also hear the Assemblywoman’s bills A-3122, The Anti-Big Brother Act and A-3139, which permits development of solar and photovoltaic energy facilities and structures over landfills and quarries.

They will also hear the Assemblywoman’s bill A-3132, which modifies certain service outage compensation and notice requirements for CATV companies.

6PM- (USHAA) United State Hispanic Advocacy Association (Newark): Assemblywoman Annette Quijano will speak to Latinos college students from USHAA about her experience in the legislature, her role as an Assemblywoman and the legislative process.

6PM- Container Gardening Workshop (Elizabeth): Dedicated to providing versatile options for the urban community, Assemblywoman Annette Quijano has partnered with the Elizabeth Housing Authority for a workshop where dozens of seniors will discover novel ways on how to grow a wider variety of vegetable plants.
5:30PM- Grand Opening of Hospitality House (Elizabeth): Senator Lesniak will deliver welcoming remarks at the grand opening of the Coalition to House the Homeless’ newly renovated transitional housing facility, the Hospitality House. Last year, Senator Lesniak helped raise funds to rehabilitee the transitional center.

The HPC will explore how the preservation of landmarks can help New Jersey's cities maintain their viability in today's fast-paced world.

10AM- Senate Judiciary Committee (Trenton): As member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator Lesniak will participate in the Senate Judiciary Committee, where his legislation – S1983 – which requires an attorney to refund to a school district fees paid for legal services if DOE has determined fees were unnecessary and has deducted State aid from the district as a result, will be voted on.
11:30AM- AT&T Cell Phone Training Session for Seniors (Union): Assemblywoman Annette Quijano will join AT&T to visit a group of seniors to help train them on how to use their cell phones properly.
1PM- Fundred Dollar Bill Collection Event (Elizabeth): Assemblywoman Quijano is tentatively scheduled to participate in the Fundred Dollar Bill Collection campaign, a national project designed to raise awareness of the dangers of lead contamination in participating communities.
1PM- Economic Growth Committee (Trenton): Raymond Lesniak will preside over the Senate Economic Growth Committee and will vote on his bill to reform COAH.

Wednesday, May 19th
8AM- Union County ELC Breakfast (Kenilworth): Senator Lesniak will address local business owners and representatives at the Union County ELC’s monthly breakfast meeting.
11AM- NJEA Tour of Elizabeth Housing Facility (Elizabeth): Assemblywoman Quijano will visit the Elizabeth Housing Authority’s new site where a modern, eco-friendly senior residential unit will be constructed. This new project will offer assistance to seniors who wish to lead active lifestyles though daily activities, and other programs. The housing unit will be the only LEED Gold certified affordable senior housing project in the state.
6:30PM- Township of Union Education Foundation Annual Spring Reception (Union): Assemblyman Joseph Cryan will attend the Township of Union Education Foundation Annual Spring Cocktail and Dessert Reception to honor recipients of educational grants.
Thursday, May 20th
10AM- Assembly Voting Session (Trenton): Assemblyman Joseph Cryan and Assemblywoman Annette Quijano will debate and vote on various issues impacting the State of New Jersey.
2PM- Senate Voting Session (Trenton): Senator Lesniak will debate and vote on a variety of issues that impact the Garden State, including amendments to Senator Lesniak’s bill to spur the production of affordable housing in NJ.

1PM- Senate Commerce Committee (Trenton) – Senator Lesniak will participate in the Senate Commerce Committee Hearing and will vote on a variety of measures impacting commerce in our state.
6:30PM- Book release and Signing Party (Union) – Senators Lesniak and Weinberg, co-authors of “What’s Love Got to Do with It?: The Case for Same-Sex Marriage,” will celebrate the release of their new book at the Human Rights Institute at Kean University.

9AM- NYC BioHeat Conference (Bronx, NY): Assemblywoman Annette Quijano will meet with biodiesel industry top leaders at the New York City BioHeat Conference to discuss ways the State Legislature can help reduce the rate of pollution across New Jersey.

12PM- Union County Community Development Luncheon (Linden): Senator Lesniak and Assemblywoman Quijano will celebrate National Community Development Week at a luncheon organized by the Union County Department of Parks and Community Renewal. Topics of discussion will include Community Development Block Grants and upcoming projects in our community.
6PM- Gene Carte Award (Ewing): Senator Lesniak will be honored by the Criminology Association at the College of New Jersey for his outstanding efforts to improve the criminal justice system in New Jersey.

1PM- Elizabeth Housing Authority Tour (Elizabeth): Assemblywoman Annette Quijano will tour the Elizabeth Housing Authority facility, where Senior Housing Assistance and Section 8 applications are first made available. Assemblywoman Quijano will also use this meeting to discuss future collaborations and the expansion for community gardens in the City of Elizabeth.

11AM- NJ Utilities Authority Press Conference (Trenton): Senator Lesniak and Assemblywoman Quijano will speak at the NJ Utilities Authority press conference to discuss the organization’s food drive efforts and their impact on our community. Assemblywoman Quijano will also discuss her ongoing efforts for the establishment of community gardens throughout the 20th district and encourage others to implement the program in their respective districts
Friday, April 9th
8AM- Legislative Breakfast Forum (Basking Ridge): Assemblyman Joseph Cryan will speak at the Somerset County Business Partnership’s Legislative Breakfast Forum. Topics include rebuilding New Jersey’s economy, job creation, business retention and decreasing property taxes.
11AM- Bayway Refinery Tour (Linden): Assemblywoman Annette Quijano will tour the Bayway Refinery to learn about their facilities. The tour will provide the Assemblywoman with additional information about various energy sectors which will help her understand more fully the industry as she works on cleaner air and alternative energy issues.
