Dear Friends:
Due to the generous support of many friends last year, The Jamel C. Holley Civic Association (JCHCA) provided over 200 backpacks and supplies to students in our community.
The JCHCA recognizes both the importance of a good education and the value of giving back to the community. In order to be successful in our quest, we need your help. We are seeking donations from supporters like you to help us provide school backpacks and school supplies to the children of Roselle that will be distributed on the first day of school, Wednesday, September 9, 2009. For your convenience, attached is a recommended school list for all grade levels.
The school supplies can be dropped off at the Roselle Firehouse Station located on Chestnut Street and 8th Avenue. There is a drop off site within the firehouse that will accept all donations seven days a week up to Wednesday, September 9, 2009.
Items may also be dropped off at the 20th Legislative District Office located at 985 Stuyvesant Avenye in Union Township.
Please label each backpack package by grade level.
The education of our children is the future of this country. This is one way you can help the future of our children and the community by becoming involved in contributing to our backpack program.
If you are unable to purchase a backpack and supplies but would like to help the program, you can make a tax-deductible contribution. Checks should be made payable to: The Jamel C. Holley Civic Association and forwarded to PO BOX 354-Roselle, NJ 07203.
Thanking you in advance for your generous contribution to the children of our community.
Sincerely,
Jamel C. Holley
